Fast food no longer has to be greasy and unhealthy. That’s because the first all-organic drive-thru in U.S. has finally opened in Rohnert Park, California. Customers wait in lines to support what seems to be the biggest step in the U.S. food industry ever.
The new Amy’s Organic Drive-Thru restaurant offers an all-vegetarian menu including organic salads, organic gluten free and veggie burgers, organic soups and drinks, and even mac n’ cheese in vegan and regular flavor.
The frozen pizzas of this privately held organic frozen food company have always been one of the best-selling products in health food and grocery stores across the U.S.
Now, this restaurant is serving organic pizzas with different toppings, from diced tomatoes and spinach to regular mozzarella cheese. They even have vegan and gluten-free pizzas.
As ABC-7 News reports, there are long lines in the drive-thru and dining area of this restaurant, with around 15-20 minutes wait time. On review sites, people are sharing their excitement about seeing long lines with crowd going all the way out the door.
According to ABC-7, the first week of Amy’s restaurant business was more than successful, and the manager Paul Schiefer is surely happy about it. As he says, the huge crowd that showed interest in their restaurant have given them hope about the success of their unique concept.
GMO-Free, Sustainably Grown, and Tasty!
All the products of other fast food restaurants are imported from factory farming operations, so they don’t give anything back to the community.
On the other hand, thanks to Amy’s roof-bound garden, the company can grow produce on site. This company is said to pay its workers a living wage with health benefits. It is also considered as the first vegetarian fast food restaurant.
