Let’s be clear – people are not fond of cleaning their bathrooms and that’s mostly because of the heavy toxic odor. Of course, we are not talking about the dirt and dust that accumulates there, but about the Kids Spot that people usually use.

The vast majority of the standard cleaners people are using contain bleach and few other strong chemicals. When people use them, they usually feel like they need special gas mask because the toxic fumes are lead to a feeling of suffocation.

On top of that, this 3 Ingredient Grout and Tiles Cleaner natural recipe is affordable and it will provide thorough cleaning without toxic vapors.

3 Ingredient Grout and Tiles Cleaner

Ingredients:
  • One teaspoon of liquid dish soap
  • ½ cup of baking soda
  • 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide
Instructions:

Take the dish soap, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and mix them well in a clean squeeze top bottle. The hydrogen peroxide is here to clean and whiten the tiles while the baking soda will eliminate water buildups located between the tiles and help you get rid of different stains.

How to use this mixture?

Take the mixture and apply it on the tiles and grout that need to be cleaned thoroughly. Leave the mixture for 10 minutes. In this way, you will break down all the accumulated water and dirt and the scrubbing will be much easier. In case you are not dealing with some subborn stains, simply use the mixture on a wet, soft sponge and clean the bathroom.

In both cases scrub the areas you’ve cleaned and use water for rinsing. In case you need thorough cleaning, perform the same process one more time on the areas that were not cleaned well.

When you eliminate all the stains and the tiles and grout look as good as new, you should probably do something to keep their appearance. In case you want to avoid scrubbing in the near future you can do something else too. Create a solution that consists of water and vinegar (1:1 ratio) and put the solution in a spray bottle.

Keep this bottle right next to the shower. Use an appropriate label to avoid accidents. Once you are done with the showering use the spray around you. Keep in mind that this doesn’t have to be a daily routine. Doing this two or three times a week should be enough.
