According to promising scientific studies, turkey tail mushrooms or Trametes versicolor have been found to help improve immune systems in patients suffering from breast cancer. This was a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded study and spanned several years. It involved tracking if turkey tails had any positive impact on helping the patient’s immune system bounce back after the radiation therapy was stopped.
