Although the effectiveness of vaccines for prevention of diseases and disabilities has been strongly questioned, the hospitals even force their workers to get vaccinated without analyzing the potential negative effects that can occur along with them.

Nowadays, many hospital workers decide not to get vaccinated thus risking their job positions.

Healthcare Clash: Nurses Across the Country Standing Up For Their Right to Refuse Mandatory Vaccinations

Some hospitals recommend wearing masks to prevent the spread of bacteria and infections as an alternative to vaccines. Those who had chosen to wear mask in contrast to vaccines, has shared their stories and pictures on the Web. So, last October was named “Show Me Your Mask Month”, by the Nurses Against Mandatory Vaccines organization in order to support the hospital workers and tell them they are not alone.

The NAMV itself has declared that they are officially dismissing in January, 2017 because of the growing fear of the general public to stand up for their rights. However, they will continue to fight on a local and state level.

This organization is a response to mandatory vaccines in the workplace. The members of this organization believe that everyone has their own right to choose which medical treatments are good for them. The number of the participants in this movement is still unknown while the group has more than 30,000 fans on Facebook.

These are the reasons why they are strongly oppressing the mandatory vaccines:

The Flu Vaccines and many Other Come with Severe Risks

According to a report from the department of Justice, in a very short period of only three months, from February to May, 2016 there were reported at least 206 cases of vaccine injuries.

The following conditions were mentioned in the report about vaccine injury:

  • Encephalitis. This is an acute information of the brain. It is widely known that some vaccines, especially the live measles vaccine can cause brain damage in some cases.
  • Guillain-Barre Syndrome. This is an autoimmune disorder, one of the most common results of vaccines. The official medicine still claims that this disorder is a rare condition but how rare it is if it affects at least from 3000-6000 people a year. Once you get it, it will last for the whole your life. Although, rarely diagnosed, the naturopathic doctors claim that many people experience certain symptoms of this disorder without even knowing it. The CDC points out that since the 1970s there was a small risk of GBS as a result of the vaccination against the swine flu virus, there are no up to date assessments of risk.
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis. This is an autoimmune disease that attacks the immune system of the body. According to a study from 1990, the Rubella vaccine can cause this condition. However, the new vaccines that have come out haven’t been studied in the proper manner for the same risks. It can also cause chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, transverse myelitis and even death.

You can boost your immune system to flu and some other diseases in many other ways that are still not being explored or utilized.

A forgotten Analysis Points out that Nurse Vaccinations May Not Protect Patients

According to a meta-analysis conducted by the researchers from the American Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) there is limited evidence that the flu vaccines provide any benefit for disease prevention for the hospital workers.

The results of the meta-analysis were published in and online edition of the Clinical Infectious Diseases and investigated the quality of evidence in studies.

Nick Kelley, a PhD, researcher from the CIDRAP (Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy) of the University of Minnesota claims that they do not have good evidence that the vaccination of the hospital workers prevents transmission of diseases to patients.

Most of the studies, such as those in the meta-analysis, focus on nursing home patients who are very easily affected by flu. Although there was a drop in the overall death rate especially in the flu-like illnesses, the results did not center on the lab-cases of flu.

The findings are still vague for the vaccine advocates; the experts suggest mandatory vaccines as safety measure.

Kelley also point out that it makes sense to vaccinate the hospital workers. Currently it is the best intervention that should be used until a better form of the vaccine is made.

The Cochrane Group, as it calls itself a global independent network of professionals, researchers, careers, patients and people interested in health, inspects medical literature and focuses on confirmed lab cases of flu.  Prof. Marie Griffin from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, reports that that there is no evidence which supports mandatory vaccination of hospital workers.

What is confusing when the meta-analyses provide different conclusions, says Griffin. She supports the compulsory vaccinations indicating the risk from the outbreaks of flu.

She claims that hospital workers should be vaccinated in order to protect vulnerable patients.

Even though there is lack of evidence and uncertainty, joined with evidence of side effects, people still lose their jobs because they refused to be vaccinated against their will.

Some hospitals even risk funding losses through Medicare if less than 90% of the personnel s not vaccinated.
