It’s no secret that aspartame is known as a very dangerous additive and is found in a lot of foods that we eat such as chewing gums, jams, Healthline, and even cereals. But, recently aspartame has taken on a new identity in our foods known as Amino Sweet.

While it is being marketed as equal and NutraSweet, this excitotoxin can easily destroy your body and brain. Since the 1980s, this sugar substitute has been extremely controversial. But as of late, its manufacturers have reached new heights of deception by changing its name to something else.

Amino Sweet is Dangerous

It is composed of genetically modified bacteria. Though the UK is not exposed to such substitutes, there are many places overseas that contain GMO aspartame in their low-calorie foods and it is known to cause cancer, brain tumors, and blindness.

Many people may be surprised to know that one of the main champions of this sugar substitute was Mr. Rumsfeld, former secretary of defense for the George Bush administration. But, Congress is not blind to the issues that this product causes and has even gone so far as to label saccharin with a disclaimer warning users of its dire effects. Not only does it cause tumors and cancer but assume a variety of other health problems such as diabetes, lupus, seizures, depression, headaches, chronic fatigue, comas, and Alzheimer’s, just to name a few.

The major problem is that aspartame breaks down into something known as Phenylalanine, which causes Phenylketonuria. This is a genetic disorder that prevents its suffers from metabolizing synthesized Phenylalanine and occurs in 15,000 people worldwide. Phenylketonurics have to constantly monitor their protein intake to not cause a build-up in their bodies. And aspartame labels warn that it contains Phenylalanine.

Even European scientists of EFSA concluded in 2005 that aspartame was not fit for human consumption. So, why do our foods still contain this sugar substitute? Well, it is quite simple, aspartame is extremely addictive. Food makers know that placing it in their products will make you buy more. This is why when confronted with all of the health issues caused by aspartame Rumsfeld stated that the ESPAs decision was not conclusive enough to be deemed as a dangerous substance and that there was no reason to revise the Acceptable Daily Intake.

So don’t be fooled, aspartame and Amino Sweet are the same substance. There is no difference between them. Make sure that you are paying close attention to the labels on your food. Instead of using sugar substitutes to sweeten your food, you should use all-natural things. So try to always keep natural things on hand such as honey, apple sauce, and other non-genetically modified substances. These things occur naturally in nature and are much better for your health. There is no reason that you should settle for dangerous additives when you have so many other healthy options available to you. You deserve to enjoy the sweeter things in life without having to become deathly ill because of them.
