A teenager aged 15 years called Jack Andraka has invented new method for the detection of lethal cancer. The teenager is from Crownsville, in Maryland.
One of the close friends of Jack died due to pancreatic cancer and then Jack began to work on the issue of cancer. Jack refused to accept the critical situation and tried to change it.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the major causes of the deaths caused due to cancer. It has been a cause of around 34000 deaths so far because of late detection. The most popular tests are more than 60 years old and very costly too. It costs around $800. The testing methods are not accurate and miss around 30% of the cancers.
As jack refused to accept the situation and observed that the main issue that caused deaths was the lack of detection tests for cancer. So, Jack decided to come up with a test that will detect cancer at the earliest possible stage.
The test developed by Jack is 100% accurate and costs just 3 cents. The test just takes 5 minutes and can be performed using Wikipedia as well as Google.
The best part about the test is that all can access it. The test is 26.000 cheaper, and more than 168 times speedier. The invention made by the young boy is of crucial importance and has surely put the great researchers to shame.
