Lower back pain is one of the most common types of back pain that people experience. Both men and women are equally affected by this pain which can vary from mild to severe. About 80% of adult people experience lower back pain at some point in their life.

This pain is often a result of bad lifestyle habits, improper body posture, and long hours of desk work. Other causes include age, weight gain, genetics, pregnancy, fitness level, and many others.

Fortunately, you can relieve this chronic pain and completely heal your lower back. Stretching and normal daily activities are the best treatments for this condition. One particular stretch will help you resolve this condition. Just follow this guided stretch and the lower back pain will be gone in a very short period of time.

You will need the following props:

  • 1 belt (any belt, pants, the makeshift strap of the scarf will serve its purpose)
  • 1 cushion (option prop)

Although this stretch is deeply rooted in yoga principles, you need no yoga experience in order to perform this stretch. All you need to do is relax and follow the simple steps.

This stretch is especially useful for all those people whose low back is constantly in pain. This reliever stretch is excellent to do before going to bed. It will improve the lower back flexibility, strengthen the core muscles that support the lower back, promote proper posture and positioning and thus prevent the development of pain.

Try it as soon as you can and you will forget about the low back pain.

Note: Make sure you do not practice this stretch if you have herniated disk in your lower back.

In the following video, the instructor Brett Larkin will demonstrate how to perform this simple stretch properly.
