The oldest person in the world, Emma Morano is 117 next month. Her biggest secret are eggs. For 90 years of her lifetime she has eaten over 100,000 eggs and she isn’t planning to stop soon.

In her twenties, Emma experienced anemia and she was prescribed three eggs a day and she had not such problems ever since.

However, some people believe that eggs are not good due to the high level of cholesterol. But, they are wrong.

Eggs are potent food

Eggs are one of the most nutritious foods in the world. A single egg is rich in vitamin A, vitamin B2, vitamin B12, vitamin B5, ffolate, selenium, phosphorus and has reasonable amounts of vitamin B6, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin K, zinc and calcium.

Eggs increase the good HDL cholesterol thus reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Eggs contain two essential antioxidants that have very important impact on the health of your eyes. It’s Zeaxanthin and Lutein that are found in the eggs yolks and they lower the chances of cataracts and macular degeneration. If you consume just 1.3 egg yolks every day for 4.5 week you will increase the levels of Zeaxanthin by 140% and Lutein by 50%.

Eggs are not only a delicious and healthy food but they will help the natural weight loss process. The Rochester Centre for Obesity Research has conducted a study and it showed that eggs for breakfast limits 400 calories intake a day.

Researchers from the University of North Carolina found that eggs can fight even breast cancer. It’s the Choline in eggs that can fight cancer in women by 24%. One egg is equal to 125.5 mg of Choline, nearly a quarter of your daily intake.
