The DE rock , diatomaceous earth, naturally appears from the skeletons of fossilized diatoms.
If DE is ground into a fine powder, it destroys various types of parasites, pests, pathogens, and insects. It cuts through their exoskeleton, absorbs their bodily fluids which results in their death.
Food grade DE is free from chemicals and toxins.
DE has various uses, such as protecting livestock and pets from insect infestation and parasites, keeping gardens and yards free from pests, as well as detoxifying our body.
Detoxification
Add DE to your diet to make detoxification of parasites which can cause nausea, food intolerance, asthma, bowel discomfort, itching, pain, Morgellon’s disease, sinus infection and more allergic-type reactions.
Diatomaceous earth detoxes lead, cadmium, mercury and other heavy metals, eliminates poisons from radiation, chemtrails, and can reduce GMO’s effects. Moreover, DM has antiviral, anti-fungal, and antibacterial properties.
Besides killing and detoxing pathogens, DE helps in the reducing of blood pressure and in the collagen production to strengthen joint and tendons, and to improve the skin tone.
Start your daily consumption of diatomaceous earth with ½ tbsp. and work up to 2 tbsp. Dissolve the DM amount in 4 oz. of water, and drink it immediately on an empty stomach. Follow with additional 8 oz. of water. Make sure you keep drinking water during the day, since diatomaceous earth can lead to constipation.
You might have feelings of abdominal discomfort and symptoms similar to flu, called Herxhemier reaction. Don’t worry since that’s a normal reaction of detoxing, since pathogens and parasites die, and thus release toxins in your system which need to be eliminated. After a few days, these symptoms will be gone.
Protects Dry Goods and Grains
Add DE to bulk legumes and grains to prevent opportunistic pests coming in your pantry. You can also use it in bags of cat and dog’s food, and food for livestock.
Garden and Yard
Another use of DE is to spread it along outside doors and window sills’ edges to keep ants and spiders away of your home.
Moreover, you can put some DE in a lawn spreader and spread it in your yard to destroy chiggers, tics, fleas, and other biting insects. You can also use a strainer to sprinkle DE on bushes in your yard.
- Apply DE on plants and garden soil to prevent appearance of vegetable-loving insects. Spread it around stems on the soil to protect them from crawly insects;
- To avoid cloud of flies, spread DE around garbage pails;
- To reduce odor and appearance of flies, apply DE to manure piles and compost;

Pets and Livestock
- You can use DE to kill and prevent fleas and ticks in your pet, by applying it carefully to their fur. Don’t forget to put a mask on your face, and a towel over your pet’s face during the time you apply the diatomaceous earth;
- DE is safe for pets’ use as long as they don’t inhale the DE dust, which is why you should take appropriate precautions. To destroy internal parasites, such as worms, add small quantities to their food;
- Add DE to kitty litter to destroy fleas and lower the odor;
- Sprinkle a bit of diatomaceous earth on the soil around the kennel of your dog
In order to keep the livestock free from pests, sprinkle the chicken barn, coop, stall, and nesting boxes.
Indoors
- Spread some DE on rugs, furniture, and cracks around baseboards’ edges to eliminate insects. Allow it to stay couple of hours, and then vacuum;
- Put diatomaceous earth in some hard reaching areas such as electrical outlets, by blowing it with a help of a plastic squeeze bottle.
Warning
- Always choose food grade diatomaceous earth;
- Avoid diatomaceous earth inhaling;
- Always use precautions when you apply DE, since it has drying effect on the skin and eyes;
- Be careful when applying it in garden, since it eliminates beneficial insects.
