  • Skin Test – Once the oil has been diluted, apply a small amount on the back of the forearm. Perform this test to ensure that there are no allergic reactions. The skin here is as sensitive as your face, but if there is any reaction you could easily hide it under clothes.
  • Application – Apply only in small amounts. Because essential oils have oily consistency, you need to apply them in small amounts. Remember, it is difficult to wash off, so apply only what is perfect for your finger. Apply a very small amount and apply a little more if it’s not enough.
  • Always Keep your Eyes Safe – Make sure to protect your eyes against essential oils. The worst kind of wrinkles form around the eyes, so keep your eyes closed so that no oil reaches your eyes.

Use the following method to prepare a blend of oil that can be stored in bottle and applied at nighttime (wash your face before application). Keep the bottle in a dark and cool place.

Mix all these ingredients:

  • Sweet almond oil / grapeseed oil (carrier oil) – 1 oz (30 ml)
  • Carrot seed oil – 4 drops
  • Neroli oil – 4 drops
  • Sandalwood oil – 4 drops

Add this mixture into a bottle. You can apply it by taking few drops and patting on your face. Don’t rub it.

You can make some adjustments to this mixture and prepare a moisturizing spray which will help keep your skin moist the entire day.

Rather than using carrier oil, use the following steps:


  • Add 12 drops of one or more essential oils in 30 ml (1 oz) water. Pour into a small spray bottle that you can carry along anywhere you go.
  • Make sure to shake before you apply. Spray the hydrating mist a few times daily. Make sure to keep your eyes tightly closed.
