Hair is part of our body, and people do all sorts of treatments to take care of it and keep it radiant and healthy. But, when it comes to body hair, they do the opposite. People do everything to get rid of it, especially women who try shaving, threading, waxing, and what not to get rid of the unwanted hair from some parts of their body.
Here are six safe, all-natural ways to remove body hair without the dangers of shaving, or the pain from waxing.
1. Lemon and Sugar
Mix two teaspoons of lemon juice, two tablespoons of sugar, and ten tablespoons of water. Apply the mixture in the direction your hair grows. Let it act for 15 to 20 minutes, and rinse with water while rubbing gently. Do this home treatment two to three times a week for optimal results.
2. Lentils and Potatoes
It might sound we are going to present you with a soup recipe, but we aren’t. Potatoes and lentils are some of the best foods for hair removal. Soak yellow lentils overnight. The following morning make a thick paste out of them using a food processor. Add one potato, one tablespoon of lemon juice, and one tablespoon of honey, and continue to mix in the food processor. Apply the mixture on the body hair you want to remove and let it act for half an hour. In the end, just wash it with water.
3. Banana and Oatmeal
Mix 1-2 teaspoons of oatmeal with one mashed banana. Apply the mixture into the area with unwanted hair with gentle massages. In this way, you will exfoliate the skin, making it soft and supple. Do this hair-removal treatment twice a week.
4. Basil and Onion
Not only that this odd combination is great for removing body hair, but it is also excellent for nourishing your skin. Make a paste from crushed basil leaves, and the translucent membranes between the onion layers. Apply the paste to the wanted area and let it act for 15 to 25 minutes before washing it off with water. Do this 3 to 4 times a week for a period of one month, to completely get rid of your unwanted body hair.
5. Turmeric and Rose Water
Besides removing body hair, this combination has soothing and anti-inflammatory effects on your skin. Make a fine paste by mixing rose water and turmeric powder. Apply the paste on the unwanted hair and allow it to dry for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. This hair removal method works best on finer hair. But, if you want to use it for thicker hairs, just add oats and yogurt to the turmeric paste.
6. Papaya
Papaya contains an enzyme that limits the growth of hair and breaks down hair follicles. Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of papaya pulp with half a teaspoon of turmeric powder. Massage the mixture onto your unwanted hair for around 15 minutes, and then wash with water. Do this once or twice a week for optimal results.
