Is there anything more pleasant than a clean, fresh-smelling home? Most people use store-bought cleaners, scented candles, air fresheners, and other deodorizers to keep their homes impeccably clean.
However, these store-bought scented cleaners are usually filled with toxic chemicals that can do more harm than good. Moreover, it has been proven that inhaling these scents might cause dizziness, headaches, and respiratory problems.
But don’t get disappointed. You can still have a clean and fresh-smelling home, and at the same time not harm your family’s and your health, with the following natural alternatives.
In the video below, you will see how to make quick, easy, and cheap DIY air fresheners, which will protect your health and save you money.
The required items to prepare the first homemade air freshener is a mason jar with a tin lid, an empty candle container, a hammer, a screwdriver, baking soda, a fork, and your favorite essential oil.
Begin with cleaning the empty candle container with soap and hot water, to remove all labels. Next, fill about ¼ of the jar with baking soda and sprinkle it with 8 to 10 drops of your favorite essential oil. Using a fork, mix all well.
You can as well add a tea candle in the middle if you like. Thus prepared air freshener is ideal for your bedroom or bathroom.
For the second DIY air freshener we recommend, you should tighten the Mason jar lid, and with a screwdriver and a hammer make 5 holes on the lid with a diamond shape. Then, just do the same process as the first air freshener we’ve explained.
Finally, tighten the lid back on, and you have made an air freshener for any room in your home.
