One generally considers juice a healthy option and especially one with the product name “Simply Orange”. It’s produced by the famous soda brand Coca-Cola, and seems like the perfect way to start your day. Well, think again!
Now don’t get us wrong, the commercials aren’t deceiving you when they claim that this juice is from genuine oranges instead of concentrate. But there is this one little thing they oh-so-conveniently failed to add. That is the abnormal transformation process these oranges take on in the process.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let’s take a closer look at this whole procedure. First off, there is this so-called “Black Book”, in truth an algorithm responsible for making Simply Orange.
Now, we know what some of you might think: the mere thought that something like an algorithm creates something which should be purely natural is a complete irony!
Well, it turns out this algorithm was made for the purpose of keeping the taste and texture’s consistency of this particular juice for 365 days a.k.a. the whole year round.
In other words, the Black Book makes certain the many natural factors our world has to offer do not have an impact on the final result of their production of juice.
Among those are climate change, crop harvests, seasonal conditions including unpredictable weather etc...
And You Know What Else?
Now, here’s something even more unbelievable. Those who make this juice look natural are actually robbing it of all its mother nature-given characteristics. They do so with syringes containing exact imitations of those characteristics. And to top it all off, just stick a nice-looking orange on the label image. Furthermore, there are about 600 flavors the Black Book can choose from in order to further uphold the consistency. Taking no regard of the abovementioned external factors. In fact, this whole process can take up to an entire year! Coca-Cola thus takes away all of the oxygen content in the juice. This is so that it won’t spoil during the long periods of trial and alteration. But what do we, the consumers of this product have to say about that? We're sure not many would find the idea of this ‘fake natural’ juice comforting.Another Bad News
And what’s worse, not only do they strip the juice of all its oxygen, but also from its natural flavors! So to put it plain and simple, even if one was to say that the substance is (or was) real orange, they can be sure that the flavor is not. As a natural consequence, due to the fact that the juice has no flavor, specific companies enter the picture. Their job? They give it artificial flavor instead, adding up to the irony. Further “uplifting” is the fact that these are the same kinds of companies which also make perfume scents. Mind you, these flavors are not required to be on the ingredient list. Why not? Technically, they are extracted from the orange itself, albeit in any other way rather than in a natural manner. The sad truth is, Americans who are honestly trying to make a turn to a healthier lifestyle, are, once again, being tricked by the big companies, which care for nothing but making an even bigger profit. And apparently, Coca-Cola succeeds in this manner when it sells what it claims to be all-natural orange juice. Since just last year it made a 4.5 billion profit! So that’s the case, and honestly, to anyone who desires to drink the real thing, my simple advice is, buy organic oranges and make the effort of juicing them yourself!
