These States Just Legalized Recreational Cannabis

Worldwide, the use, possession, and sale of cannabis are illegal. However, some countries went on to allow the use of cannabis for medical, industrial, or recreational purposes. There have been high tensions in five states in the U.S.A. which voted to decide whether to end or not cannabis prohibition. Most of people eagerly waited for the results, to see which states will break up the prohibition on cannabis. The five states that had a referendum in terms of the regulation of cannabis sativa were Massachusetts, Maine, Arizona, Nevada, and California. In Massachusetts, according to the Associated Press and other sources, 54% of the people supported the decision.

In California, was conducted one of the most controversial elections of recreational cannabis. There was an official approval of recreational cannabis.

The next couple of years is not promising for the approval of the recreational use of cannabis in Arizona. However, in 2010, the state allowed access to medical marijuana patients. This medicinal use of cannabis is allowed in North Dakota, Florida, Montana, and Arkansas. There are plenty of other countries that do not allow the use of medicinal cannabis. California, Maine, Nevada, and Massachusetts will join Alaska, Oregon, Colorado, Washington, and the District of Columbia and will allow the use of recreational cannabis. Cannabis remains illegal throughout the U.S. and it is not approved for prescription as a medicine although a great number of countries have approved and regulated its medical use. Via US News
