This is the story of a teenage boy who may have lived when he was rescued from drowning but was soon struggling to live when he developed Crohn’s disease. His body was infected in the lake, it further led him to develop this chronic disease. Crohn’s disease is an incapacitating inflammation of the intestines and the bowels and can be fatal. What may seem to be a simple story of infection and further development of the chronic disease has another complex side to it. The teenager Coltyn Turner’s medical records said that it was the bacterial infection from the water that caused his health to deteriorate. He was initially given antibiotics, but then switched to drugs for Crohn’s Disease that didn't do any good but caused serious side effects. According to Lindita Rahmani on the Facebook page of MAM (Millions Against Monsanto), it was not the bacterial infection that led to the development of Crohn’s Disease in Coltyn’s case. It was the Big Pharma that funded his doctor to cause Crohn’s in him.

She adds that Coltyn had likely contracted Giardia, which is the sole parasite that requires powerful antibiotics. Almost all other problem-causing parasites found in water could be destroyed in the first or second round of parasite-cleansing treatments, which are simply available over the counter across Mexico or on the web.

Coltyn's case was so strange. He lost his weight at a very fast pace, suffered from pain, and was bound to a wheelchair. His health kept deteriorating until his family moved out of Illinois and he was given cannabis oil as a treatment in Colorado. When he was allowed to use cannabis under medical supervision, the teenager coined the saying “I would rather be alive illegally than dead legally.” Today this saying is the slogan for those fighting the war for medical marijuana.

But Coltyn’s is Just One Story Research shows that there are many others who have been treated for Crohn’s disease using cannabis without any detrimental side effects. In fact, a number of patients have claimed improvement and eventual relief from the symptoms of Crohn’s after smoking pot – they didn't have to continue with their allopathic treatment. Shona Banda Shona Banda’s is another case where the Crohn’s patient came back from death. Doctors had to remove many parts from Shona’s GI tract. It was when her doctors had lost all hope that she came across the video “Run from the Cure” by Rick Simpson which explained the use of cannabis to cure cancer. It triggered the question of whether she could also prepare the oil and save her life.

But there were limitations to what she could do. It was not possible to do so in her home state, Kansas. She moved to Colorado for a short time and worked in a medical marijuana dispensary. It was also an effort to generate income, especially at a time when her husband left her. There she treated her Crohn’s and made it out alive out of the condition. Then she returned to Kansas and wrote Live Free or Die. She was openly advocating the benefits of cannabis. When a drug enforcement officer came to Shona’s son’s school to spread awareness about the so-called ill effects of pot, her son countered him. The kid told him the story of how his mother treated her Crohn’s disease. Her son was too young to understand that it was important to keep his lips zipped about the topic in the state.

The Washington Post reports the following incident after the enforcement officer learned about Shona’s story – the state charged her with:
  • 5 counts of felony for possessing marijuana with the intention of manufacturing and distributing Tetrahydrocannabinol – a kind of oil extracted from it;
  • 1 count of child endangerment;
  • 2 counts of possessing drug paraphernalia.
If you save yourself from death by curing your disease without getting the Medical Mafia involved, this is the way you will get punished. Via Denver CBS Local | Reset Me | Leafly | Medical X-press | iReport CNN
