The pH level of any environment will tell whether it is acidic or alkaline. Any pH level of less than 7 indicates acidity and a value higher than 7 means alkalinity. Rainwater has the perfect 7 because it is neutral.
When it comes to our body, the pH value will vary from one organ (and body part) to another. A few examples are as follows:
- Our saliva’s pH value is in the range of 6.5 and 7.0
- The skin can have around 5.5 pH (acidic)
- Our digestive tract has a pH ranging between 1.5 and 7.0
