It may look a little strange to some, but after reading about the traditional uses of this simple garlic drink, I decided to share the recipe with you. By the way, it is very easy to prepare, and it may easily become part of your routine.

Many of you know about the benefits of garlic, but I just want to mention why this garlic drink is so popular.

Garlic is traditionally used to support the immune system. It is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, and some studies suggest that it may help support healthy blood vessels and heart health as part of a diet that includes heart-friendly foods. Garlic also has natural antibacterial properties, which researchers continue to study.

Furthermore, in folk tradition, garlic drinks have been used for stomach discomfort, sore throat, cough, flatulence, and as a mild diuretic (for increasing urination). These are traditional uses and not a replacement for medical care.

Simply put, it is an easy drink to prepare, and many people include it in a routine aimed at a healthy metabolism and managing excess fat.

Simple Garlic Drink Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12 garlic cloves.
  • 2 ½ tablespoons thyme leaves.
  • 17 oz. (1/2 liter) red wine.

Preparation:

  1. Chop 12 garlic cloves into small pieces and place them in a jar.
  2. Add 17 oz. red wine.
  3. Add 2 ½ tablespoons of thyme leaves.
  4. Close the jar and place it near a window exposed to sunlight for two weeks.
  5. Shake the contents of the jar several times a day.
  6. After two weeks, strain the contents of the jar into a dark glass bottle and store it at room temperature.

How to use:

For one month, take a teaspoon of this garlic drink three times a day. Traditionally, this is repeated twice a year.

Because the drink contains alcohol, it is not suitable for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or anyone who avoids alcohol. Garlic may also interact with blood thinners and some other medication, so ask your doctor first if you take any.
