1.Peel the Ginger Root

Take some fresh organic ginger root. First wash it well under running water. Then peel the tough skin by a small knife or a peeler.

2.Chop the Ginger Up

When peeled, chop the fresh ginger into thin slices. This will enable a quick drying without the use of dehydrator or some sun-drying. Other people cut up the ginger into small pieces because they find them easier to grind in the coffee or spice grinder. How would you chop the ginger, depends merely on your preference.

3.Dry the Ginger Slices Thoroughly

Place the ginger slices on a rack and store them in the dehydrator for a few hours until they are completely dry. 4.Grind the Ginger Slices

The hard and dry ginger slices are perfect and ready for grinding into powder. For this purpose, you need a coffee or spice grinder or a food processor. Do not stop the process until all of the ginger slices turn into a fine powder. If they were hard for grinding, store the ginger root slices into the fridge for a few hours. When frozen, grind them.
