Attention: This Common Chemical Causes More Cancer and Death that Any Other Chemical
You probably know that fluoride is one of the ingredients in many commercial products. They include dental products, processed foods and beverages, tea drinks, Teflon pans, and even drinking water. But, did you know that it is not a natural substance but rather a highly dangerous chemical?
It’s a byproduct of aluminum and practically an industrial waste product. Also, according to the Merck Index, its main use is being an ingredient in cockroach and rat poison, as well as a known carcinogen.
However, in the 1950s, The Food and Drug Administration was somehow convinced that fluoride helps protect teeth. So, they approved its usage in many dental products.
OEHHA Report (Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment)
Recently, OEHHA released “Evidence on the Carcinogenicity of Fluoride and Its Salts” – a document which highlights the dangers of consuming fluoride to the human’s health.
According to the report, there’s plenty of evidence showing that when you ingest fluoride, it gets accumulated in your bones. Here, the chemical can stimulate the division of osteoblasts – cells which have a crucial function in the maintenance of skeleton (bone-forming cells).
This, in turn, can cause bone cancer. Moreover, the OEHHA document says this hazardous chemical induces genetic changes resulting in cellular immune response and malignant transformation.
All this raises the risk of osteosarcomas – a rare type of bone cancer.
Studies Connect Fluoride Exposure to Thyroid Cancer and Other Types of Cancer
Dr. Dean Burk from the U.S. National Cancer Institute conducted several studies back in 1977, investigating the link between cancer and fluoride exposure. His studies showed that ingesting fluoride increases the growth of follicular thyroid cancer cells in rats.
Furthermore, Dr. Lita Lee made a rat experiment to learn more about fluoride effects on animals’ health. She gave them to drink fluoridated water and published the results in her research paper “Fluoride – A Modern Toxic Waste.”
As a result, there was a drastic increase in the rates of osteosarcoma and thyroid follicular cell tumors in these animals.
Therefore, you should know that fluoride is a chemical which can produce serious health consequences on a long term basis.
