Every healthy organism needs to be slightly alkaline in order for the cells, the chemical reactions within them, and the beneficial bacteria to function properly. But an acid body indicates that the systems do not function in the right manner.

The pH balance is an important health aspect or as some people state, it is a matter of life or death.

So, when the body pH level becomes too acidic, your body is more vulnerable to different diseases:

  • Slow metabolism, obesity, and inability to lose weight
  • High blood pressure
  • Chronic inflammation
  • Kidney and bladder conditions such as kidney stones
  • Weight gain and diabetes
  • Premature aging
  • Weak bones, osteoporosis, bone spurs, and fractures
  • Aching muscles, joint pain, and lactic-acid buildup
  • Mood swings
  • Low energy
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Slow digestion and elimination
  • Fungal/yeast overgrowth.

Lower pH is a result of various toxic chemicals, medications, and drugs. So, when the body pH falls below 6.4, the enzymes are deactivated, minerals, vitamins, and food supplements can’t be properly assimilated and the digestion can’t function in the right manner.

This acid reduces the ability to produce energy in the cells, to repair the damaged ones, to detoxify heavy metals and it only leads to fatigue and illness.

The pH plays an important role in every process that operates within the body. Diseases can’t survive in an alkaline environment and the bacteria, viruses, mold, yeast, candida, fungus, and cancer cells prosper in acidic, low pH, low oxygen environments.

This condition can be a result of an acid-forming diet, toxic overload, emotional stress, or some immune reaction that disposes of the cells of some important nutrients and oxygen.

However, the body tries to use its alkaline mineral reserves such as calcium from the bones, sodium from the stomach in order to function properly. This particular condition can bring about osteoporosis and other diseases. If there are not enough minerals, the acid will accumulate and symptoms like arthritis, pain, MS, fibromyalgia, and lupus will appear. Both cancer and a healthy pH environment cannot exist together.

That’s why cancerous cells can’t affect the heart. It’s because there is constant blood flowing from the lungs into the heart and the highest pH scale within the entire body.  The blood fills the lungs with oxygen and high blood pH and removes the acidic toxins.

When there is no oxygen, the glucose ferments itself into lactic acid. This leads to even lower pH within the cells. Terminal cancer patients almost always have urine and saliva pH ranging between 4.0 and 5.5. When cancer metastasizes, the pH drops even lower than before.

According to Keiichi Morishita, in 1964, one person in 214 got cancer while nowadays 1 in 2 males and 1 in 3 females. One of the crucial reasons for this is condition is pH.

How to Check Your pH Balance

Fortunately, you can easily check your pH level at home. You just have to take some pH test strips.

You can check the pH levels throughout the day, but it is recommended to do so in the morning because the body is more acids at this point in time. The morning urine results should be between 6.5 and 7.5 as well as the saliva pH results. Make sure you check your saliva pH, at least 2 hours after some meal. You just have to fill your mouth with saliva and then swallow it. Do this again, to provide a clean spit, and then place some saliva on the pH strip.

Try to include more healthy habits into your lifestyle and make sure you control the stress because it can significantly affect the pH level. Drink plenty of water, eat healthy food, and practice deep breathing in order to reduce the acidic environment in the body.
