Drinking warm tea is a ritual performed by millions of people around the globe every morning, and an almond milk and green tea combo is one variation that has become popular. Some people drink tea with additions like sugar or honey, while others like their tea plain. And since there are many different types of tea, some people like black tea, some prefer green tea, and others enjoy fruit teas the most.

One of the main reasons people drink tea is that they are aware of its benefits, but only a small number of them know how beneficial green tea can be. Besides that, few people know that there is a one-day eating plan based on this tea, which also includes almond milk as one of its main ingredients.

This plan is popular among people whose main goal is to keep their current weight or to manage a few extra pounds. Many people find this tasty combination of almond milk and green tea filling, and some include it in routines aimed at supporting the body’s natural cleansing processes.

Results vary from person to person, and any change on the scale after a single day is mostly water. You should know that this plan is limited: it is meant for one day only, and no more than two days per month. It is not a long-term way of eating, and lasting weight management depends on a balanced diet and regular physical activity.

Avoid it in cases of gallbladder and kidney diseases, nut allergy, low blood pressure, and during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you have diabetes or any chronic disease, or take regular medication, seek advice from your doctor first.

Almond Milk and Green Tea Recipe

To prepare this recipe, you need 6 cups (1.5 l) of almond milk and two tablespoons of organic green tea. You can find green tea like that in your local health food store. Loose-leaf tea is preferred over tea bags because it gives a fuller flavor.

Boil the almond milk and wait until it cools down to about 70 degrees Celsius (around 160°F). Make sure that the milk is still hot, and not just warm, before you add the two tablespoons of green tea.

Cover the bowl and leave it for about 20 minutes. Drink one cup of the mixture every two hours. Almond milk and green tea go well together: the almond milk makes the taste of the tea milder, and the tea gives the milk a pleasant aroma.

In between, drink plain, non-carbonated water. Don’t forget to drink at least two liters of water a day, because green tea can cause more frequent urination and you need to maintain the level of fluids in your body.

Many people say this drink keeps them feeling full during the day. If you feel weak, dizzy, or unwell, stop and have a normal meal. Keep in mind that this is something to do no more than twice a month.
