Potassium chloride

Magnesium sulfate
We usually know it as Epsom salt and its common use is to treat fungal diseases including toenail fungus or athlete’s foot. Magnesium sulfate can be quite helpful for many things and for many medical uses, but it can be very dangerous if you consume it while planning a pregnancy, being pregnant and breastfeeding.
As said by FDA, you need to be careful in this situations since magnesium sulfate can cause birth defects. Many doctors used to prescribe magnesium sulfate to pregnant women to prevent any conditions that can occur during the pregnancy, but, FDA said that clinics need to ban this substance because there are evidences that it can harm the bone structure while developing in the fetus.
This was concluded after conducting 18 different studies and reviewing them. In these studies, women consumed magnesium sulfate in a period of at least 10 weeks. The experiments showed that the babies were born with many defects like fractures of long bones as well as ribs.
While consuming magnesium sulfate you might notice many side effects, including:

- muscle weakness
- dizziness
- low blood pressure
- sleepiness
