If you are reading the latest health news, you have probably noticed that the mainstream media are ignoring medical marijuana and that you can find information about the connection between cannabis and cancer treatment only on alternative health websites.

This is definitely strange especially after the information that the NCI (National Cancer Institute) has confirmed that medical marijuana has the ability to treat and cure cancer.

The institute has revealed this information on their official website in the FAQ section dedicated to cannabis.

Namely, they have pointed out that scientific studies which included lab rats and mice have confirmed that cannabinoids found in marijuana may block the growth of tumors by eliminating cancerous cells, inhibiting their growth and inhibiting the progress of blood vessels required by these tumors to expand and grow.

Animal and lab studies have confirmed that cannabinoids have the ability to eliminate cancer cells and keep the healthy cells safe.

The list of good news doesn’t end here. The National Cancer Institute has also highlighted several scientific studies to support these claims.

This News Deserves to be Shared by Mainstream Media

In the last two decades, the articles and stories dedicated to cancer are growing and news media use this interest to attract more visitors and readers. However, what might be the greatest story on cancer is left in darkness and the media rarely report about the effects of medical marijuana on cancer.

It appears that there is more than one reason for this. First of all, cannabis is often associated with laziness and it is viewed as a gateway drug by many people, so the media avoid stories about it. If we say that marijuana provides some great medicinal effects, this means that the authorities and almost all of us have been wrong for so many years.

According to official statistics, 9 out of 10 arrests related to drugs were linked to marijuana. Even the DEA still categorizes marijuana as a so-called Schedule 1 compound. Keep in mind that pharmaceutical cancer drugs and treatments are a huge industry (worth around 100 billion dollars a year).

According to some statistics, this figure will reach $150 billion in 2018. So, imagine a situation in which people grow one simple herb at home to get rid of this vicious disease. This will certainly harm the pharmaceutical industry.

Unfortunately, people in many states and foreign countries have to get involved in illegal activities to improve their health. It is worth mentioning that marijuana is good not only for cancer patients. Namely, parents of kids suffering from epilepsy have found marijuana useful too.

Even though we believe that the medical industry is always focused on progress and innovation, it looks like in the case of medical marijuana they are a little bit conservative and we have explained why.

If you agree that marijuana should be legalized for medical purposes you should be pro-active and sign some of the many petitions and share this information with your friends.
